What is the ICL Surgery

ICL or Intra Collamer Lens is an alternative to LASIK Surgery. In this surgery a Board Certified Ophthalmologist places an artificial lens between the eye’s natural lens and iris. The lens then helps the eye’s existing lens to refract light on the Retina which then produces a clearer image on the eyes than before.

Who needs ICL Surgery?

ICL Surgery is useful to people who want to permanently remove their need for spectacles.

If you are experiencing Myopia (nearsightedness) i.e your corneas/lens of the eyes are unable to refract light rays accurately. It is a common condition of the eye in which objects near to the surface of the eye appear clear, but objects away, look blurry and hazy.

If you are experiencing Hyperopia (farsightedness) i.e the objects nearer to the lens of your eye appear blurry but objects far from the lens of the eye look clearer and legible.

If you are experiencing Astigmatism i.e when your cornea or lens has an abnormal shape due to which you may experience distorted or blurry vision.

Improves Visual Acuity

ICL surgery can help improve vision for people with moderate to severe refractive errors who may not be candidates for LASIK or other types of refractive surgery. The procedure can help reduce dependence on glasses or contact lenses and improve overall visual acuity.

recovery
Quicker Recovery as no tissue is removed

Unlike LASIK, which requires the cornea to be reshaped with a laser, ICL surgery involves implanting a lens into the eye, which typically results in a faster recovery time. Most people are able to resume normal activities within a few days of the procedure.

ICL Surgery doesn’t cause Dry Eyes

ICL doesn’t lead to dry eyes and keeps them from itching, redness or the need to constantly rub the eyes. It enables one to stay on the go with comfort and confidence. If you opt for ICL Surgery, we assure you will have well lubricated eyes. Remember, not all tears are bad tears!

Reversible

The ICL implant is not permanent such that the Artificial Lens can be removed whenever desired without it affecting your safety.

Improved Night Vision

It is possible to achieve excellent night vision with ICL Surgery. More than 97% of people who go for ICL Surgery said they had refined night vision.

Alternative to Laser Surgery

If you are facing refractive errors but are rejected for LASIK, Contoura Vision Surgery and SMILE then ICL Surgery is the way to living a spectacle free life.

Minimal Impact on Corneas

ICL Surgery does not impact the corneas a lot less as it does not reshape the cornea. ICL is beneficial for people with corneal irregularities and abnormalities.

High Success Rate

ICL surgery has minimal side effects or complications and maximum patient satisfaction. It is safe, effective and quick for people with a wide range of refractive errors.
